The Neuseeelandflachs 'Rainbow Queen' (Phormium tenax) is a very popular evergreen container plant. Its orange-brown flowers appear from August to September. The multi-coloured leaves are linear. The location should be as sunny to semi-shady as possible. Well-drained and nutrient-rich soil is ideal. Under favourable conditions, the Neuseeelandflachs 'Rainbow Queen' reaches a height of approx. 1 m and grows up to 80 cm wide.
