The New Zealand flax 'Evening Glow' (Phormium tenax) is a very popular evergreen container plant. Its dark red flowers appear from July to August. The red leaves are linear. The location should be as sunny to semi-shady as possible. A well-drained and humus-rich soil is ideal. Under favourable conditions, the New Zealand flax 'Evening Glow' reaches a height of approx. 1 m and grows up to 1 m wide.
