Description
The Cape figwort 'African Queen' (Phygelius x rectus) is an upright, winter-green perennial that forms scarlet-red, tubular flowers arranged in panicles from April to July. Its lanceolate leaves are dark green. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.2 m and grows to a width of approx. 60 cm. The Cape figwort 'African Queen' is well tolerant of frost.
