Description
With its medium green leaf colouring and green stems, the Bamboo (Phyllostachys humilis) is a decorative design element in the garden, which can be used as a free-growing hedge with its upright and runner-forming growth. Sunny to semi-shady locations with well-drained and nutrient-rich soil are preferred. In favourable conditions, this hardy bamboo reaches a height of approx. 5 m and grows up to 2.5 m wide.

Growth
Bamboo is an upright and runner-forming bamboo that can reach a height of 3 - 5 m and a width of 1.5 - 2.5 m. It usually grows 40 - 50 cm per year.
