Description
The Ninebark 'Fireside'® (Physocarpus opulifolius) is a bushy, upright, deciduous shrub with decorative, egg-shaped, purple-violet leaves. The blood-red shoots are also an interesting sight. In June, it also bears white-pink flowers arranged in umbels. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.8 metres and grows to a width of approx. 1.5 metres.
