Description
The Gelbe Fasanenspiere 'Spicy Devil'(s) (Physocarpus opulifolius) is a compact, roundish, deciduous small shrub with decorative, egg-shaped, purple-red leaves. The orange-yellow shoots are also an interesting sight. It also bears white flowers arranged in umbels in June. These produce red-brown fruits from September. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.2 metres and grows to a width of approx. 1.2 metres.
