Description
The Ninebark 'Magical® Sweet Cherry Tea'(s) (Physocarpus opulifolius) is an upright, compact, roundish, deciduous small shrub with decorative, egg-shaped, dark purple leaves. The orange-red shoots are also an interesting sight. It also bears pink-white flowers arranged in umbels from April to May. With the right care, the Ninebark 'Magical® Sweet Cherry Tea'(s) blooms again from June to July. These produce red-brown fruits from September. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 1.2 metres and grows to around 1.2 metres wide.
