Description
The Norway spruce (Picea abies) is a large tree that grows in a conical shape and usually reaches a height of around 50 metres and a width of around 8 metres. Its needle-shaped leaves are dark green in colour. Decorative brown cones adorn Picea abies from September. This shrub is well tolerant of frost and prefers sandy, loamy, slightly acidic soil in a sunny to semi-shady position.
