Description
The Norway spruce 'Columnaris' (Picea abies) is a small tree that grows dense, columnar and usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and a width of around 1.5 metres. Its needle-shaped leaves are dark green in colour. Decorative brown cones adorn Picea abies 'Columnaris' from September. This shrub is well tolerant of frost and prefers sandy, loamy, slightly acidic soil in a sunny to semi-shady position.
