Description
The Colorado spruce 'Karpaten' (Picea pungens) is a small shrub that grows broad, slightly overhanging and usually reaches a height of approx. 90 cm and a width of approx. 2 metres. Its needle-shaped leaves are blue-grey in colour. Decorative light brown cones adorn Picea pungens 'Karpaten' from September. This shrub is well tolerant of frost and prefers well-drained, nutrient-rich, moist to wet soil in a sunny to semi-shady position.
