Description
The Schattenglöckchen 'Little Frosty' (Pieris japonica) is a bushy, compact, evergreen dwarf shrub with decorative, glossy, lanceolate, dark-green leaves edged with silvery-white. Its reddish new growth is also an interesting sight. It also bears white flowers arranged in panicles from March to May. From these, light brown, round fruits develop from August onwards. In a semi-shaded to shaded, wind-protected position with humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 40 cm and spreads to approx. 30 cm.
