Description
The Japanese andromeda 'Mountain Fire' (Pieris japonica) is a bushy, broad, dense small shrub that produces white flowers arranged in panicles. They appear from March to May. The Japanese andromeda 'Mountain Fire' also has shiny, lanceolate, dark green leaves. The dark red shoots are also an interesting sight. In a semi-shady to shady, wind-protected location with humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 1.3 m and grows to around 1 m wide.
