Description
The Japanese andromeda 'Ralto Rose' (Pieris japonica) is a bushy, broad, upright shrub that produces pink flowers arranged in panicles. These appear from March to May. The red new growth is also an interesting sight. In a semi-shaded to shaded, wind-protected position with humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 50 cm and spreads to around 50 cm.
