Description
The Austrian pine (Pinus nigra) is a large tree that grows in a conical, picturesque shape and usually reaches a height of around 30 metres and a width of around 10 metres. Its needle-shaped leaves are dark green in colour. Decorative light brown cones adorn Pinus nigra ssp. nigra from September. This shrub tolerates frost well. It prefers a sunny location. The Austrian pine makes no special demands on the soil.
