Description
The Tawhiwhi (Pittosporum tenuifolium) is a dense, egg-shaped garden plant that produces purple-red flowers with a pleasant fragrance. They appear from May to July. These produce black fruits. They exude a pleasant fragrance. The Tawhiwhi also has lanceolate, light green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of around 4 metres and grows to around 4 metres wide.
