Description
The Abendländische Plantane (Platanus occidentalis) is an upright, roundish garden plant that produces yellow-green flowers. They appear in May. These produce brown, round fruits. The Abendländische Plantane also has palmate, medium green leaves. Its bark is light grey, grey-brown and flaking. In a sunny to semi-shady location with nutrient-rich, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 40 metres.
