Description
The African yellow-wood 'Red Tip' (Podocarpus lawrencei) is a small shrub that grows in a bushy, dense manner and usually reaches a height of around 1.2 m and a width of around 1.8 m. Its needle-like leaves are a medium green colour. In winter, they turn a beautiful green-red colour. This shrub is highly frost-hardy. It prefers well-drained, humus-rich soil in a sunny to semi-shaded position.

Care
- Excess water must be able to drain away easily; waterlogging must be avoided at all costs. - This plant is susceptible to snow damage. In areas with heavy snowfall, it is therefore advisable to wrap string around the branches. Otherwise, they may bend out of shape and may not recover fully. Once the snow season is over, the string must, of course, be removed again.
