Description
The May apple (Podophyllum peltatum) is an upright, rhizome-forming perennial that produces white, cupped flowers with a pleasant fragrance in May. Its rounded, lobed leaves are light green. In a semi-shady to shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, lime-free, loose soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 50 cm and is approx. 40 cm wide. The May apple is well tolerant of frost.
