Description
The Christmas fern (Polystichum acrostichoides) with its feathery, dark green leaf fronds is a decorative design element in the garden. It feels most at home in a semi-shady to shady location with a well-drained, humus-rich, sandy soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy fern reaches a height of approx. 50 cm and grows up to 50 cm wide.
