Description
The Berlin poplar (Populus berolinensis) is an upright, columnar large tree that produces red flowers arranged in catkins with a light fragrance. They appear from March to April. The Berlin poplar also has egg-shaped, medium green leaves. The green-yellow shoots are also an interesting sight. Its bark is dark grey and deeply fissured. In a sunny location with nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 25 metres and grows to a width of approx. 10 metres.
