Description
The Canadian poplar 'Ellert' (Populus canadensis) is a large oval tree that produces red flowers. They appear in April. The Canadian poplar 'Ellert' also has heart-shaped, medium green leaves. Its bark is grey-brown. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, sandy, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 25 metres.
