Description
The Grey poplar 'Witte van Haamstede' (Populus canescens) is a large oval tree that produces grey-green flowers arranged in catkins. They appear in March. The Grey poplar 'Witte van Haamstede' also has triangular, dark green leaves. Its bark is grey and smooth. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, calcareous, sandy, acidic, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 25 metres.
