Description
The Large self-heal 'Gruß an Isernhagen' (Prunella grandiflora) is a broad, carpet-like perennial that forms purple-red, lip-shaped flowers arranged in spikes from July to September. Its lanceolate, serrated leaves are medium green in colour. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, loose, dry soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 20 cm and is approx. 25 cm wide. The Large self-heal 'Gruß an Isernhagen' is well tolerant of frost.
