Description
The Wild cherry 'Hedelfinger Riesenkirsche' (Prunus avium) produces red-brown, firm and cartilaginous fruits. They have a sweet flavour. Well-drained, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil and a sunny to semi-shady location create ideal conditions for a high-yielding harvest from mid-July. Its white, pleasantly fragrant flowers are a beautiful sight. The Wild cherry 'Hedelfinger Riesenkirsche' with its ovoid and upright habit grows to around 6 metres high and 4 metres wide.
