Description
The Wild cherry 'Sylvia'® (Prunus avium) produces dark red, large, medium-firm fruits. They have a sweet, aromatic flavour. Well-drained, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil and a sunny to semi-shady location create the ideal conditions for a high-yielding harvest from the end of June. Its white, pleasantly fragrant flowers are a beautiful sight. With its columnar growth, the Wild cherry 'Sylvia'® grows to around 3 metres high and 40 cm wide, making it ideal for growing in pots on balconies or terraces.

Flower
Prunus avium 'Sylvia'® forms white flowers from April. These exude a pleasant fragrance and grow to about 2 - 3 cm in size.

Fruit
The dark red, large drupes have a sweet, aromatic flavour. The red-brown flesh is medium firm. Ripening time from the end of June.
