Description
Warning! The species Prunus laurocerasus is classified as an invasive species in Switzerland and must not be traded, planted or propagated in any other way there. The Lorbeerkirsche 'Strike' (Prunus laurocerasus) is an upright, branched, dense large shrub that produces white, fragrant flowers arranged in clusters. These appear from May to June. From August onwards, these develop into black, round fruits. They give off a strong fragrance. The Lorbeerkirsche 'Strike' also bears glossy, ovate, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shaded, wind-protected position with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 5 m and spreads to approx. 2.5 m.
