Description
The Portugal laurel 'Tico'® (Prunus lusitanica) is a bushy, upright shrub that produces white flowers arranged in clusters. They appear from June to July. These produce black, oval fruits from September. The Portugal laurel 'Tico'® also has shiny, lanceolate, dark green leaves. The bronze-coloured shoots are also an interesting sight. Its bark is red-brown in colour. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 2.5 metres and grows to a width of approx. 1.5 metres.
