Description
The Higan cherry 'Autumnalis' (Prunus subhirtella) is an upright, overhanging large shrub that produces light pink, cupped flowers. They appear from the end of March to the beginning of April. These produce black fruits. The Higan cherry 'Autumnalis' also has egg-shaped, medium green leaves. Its bark is dark grey. In a sunny location with well-drained, humus-rich, calcareous soil, it usually reaches a height of around 5 metres and grows to a width of around 5 metres.
