Description
The Higan cherry 'Fukubana' (Prunus subhirtella) is an upright, overhanging, picturesque large shrub that produces dark pink, cupped flowers. They appear in April. The Higan cherry 'Fukubana' also has egg-shaped, dark green leaves. In a sunny location with well-drained, humus-rich, calcareous soil, it usually reaches a height of around 6 metres and grows to a width of around 4 metres.
