Description
The Choke cherry 'Shubert' (Prunus virginiana) is a dense, ovoid small tree with decorative, purple-red, round fruits. It produces white, cupped flowers arranged in clusters in May. The Choke cherry 'Shubert' also has egg-shaped, purple-red leaves. The light green shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 8 metres and grows to a width of around 7 metres.
