Description
The Pomegranate (Punica granatum) is a very popular, deciduous tub plant whose dark red fruits have a sweet and sour flavour. The skin of the medium-sized fruit is rough. Its decorative flowers are funnel-shaped and appear from May to August. The light green leaves are lanceolate. The location should be as sunny and sheltered as possible. A well-drained, humusy and sandy soil is ideal. Under favourable conditions, the Pomegranate reaches a height of approx. 2.5 m and grows up to 2 m wide.
