Description
The Firethorn 'Red Star'® (Pyracantha coccinea) is an upright, branched shrub with decorative, orange-red, round fruits that stay on for a very long time. It produces white flowers arranged in umbrella clusters from May to August. The Firethorn 'Red Star'® also has shiny, leathery, lanceolate, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady location, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1.8 metres and grows to a width of approx. 1.5 metres. The Firethorn 'Red Star'® makes no particular demands on the soil.
