Description
The Common pear 'Gellerts Butterbirne' (Pyrus communis) produces yellow, large, buttery soft and juicy fruits. They are blunt cone-shaped and have a spicy flavour. Loose, loamy soil and a sunny to semi-shady location create ideal conditions for a high-yield harvest from September. Its white flowers are a beautiful sight. With its conical, bushy and upright growth, the Common pear 'Gellerts Butterbirne' grows to around 5 metres high and 3.5 metres wide.
