Description
The Laurel oak (Quercus imbricaria) is a conical, deciduous tree with decorative, leathery, lanceolate, medium green leaves. It also bears golden yellow flowers arranged in catkins from May to June. These produce brown, round fruits. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained soil, it usually reaches a height of around 20 metres and grows to a width of around 15 metres.
