Description
The Duck oak (Quercus nigra) is a roundish garden plant that produces golden yellow flowers. They appear in May. These produce red-brown, oval fruits. The Duck oak also has shiny, egg-shaped, medium green leaves. Its bark is dark grey. In a sunny to semi-shady location, it usually reaches a height of around 20 metres.
