Description
The Armenian oak (Quercus pontica) is a conical, broad, large shrub with decorative, green, oval fruits. It produces yellow-green flowers arranged in catkins from May to June. The Armenian oak also has shiny, egg-shaped, medium green leaves. In a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 6 metres and grows to around 6 metres wide.
