Description
The Red oak 'Aurea' (Quercus rubra) is a sprawling, roundish large tree with decorative, oval fruits. The Red oak 'Aurea' also has egg-shaped, yellow-green leaves. The golden-yellow shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny location with well-drained, sandy, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and grows to a width of around 10 metres.
