Description
The Kirishima azalea 'Hino White Dwarf' (Rhododendron obtusum) produces a veritable sea of red flowers with pink to white from April to May. Its winter-green foliage is dark green. This compact-growing shrub usually reaches a height of 30 - 60 cm and a width of 30 to 60 cm. A semi-shady (to shady) location and well-drained, nutrient-rich, acidic soil create optimal conditions for healthy growth. The Kirishima azalea 'Hino White Dwarf' is well tolerant of frost.
