Description
The Yaku-Rhododendron 'Dopey' (Rhododendron yakushimanum) produces a veritable sea of red flowers with black markings in May. Its evergreen foliage is dark green. This upright, broad-growing shrub usually reaches a height of 0.8 - 1 m and a width of 1 to 1.3 m. A semi-shady (to shady) location and humus-rich, lime-free soil create ideal conditions for healthy growth. The Yaku-Rhododendron 'Dopey' is well tolerant of frost.
