Description
The Kirishima azalea 'Addy Wery' (Rhododendron obtusum) produces a veritable sea of red flowers with pink to white in May. Its winter-green foliage is dark green. This bushy, broad-growing shrub usually reaches a height of 1 - 1.5 metres and a width of 1 to 1.5 metres. A semi-shady (to shady) location and well-drained, nutrient-rich, acidic soil create ideal conditions for healthy growth. The Kirishima azalea 'Addy Wery' is well tolerant of frost.
