Description
The Kirishima azalea 'Geisha Orange' (Rhododendron obtusum) produces a veritable sea of orange-coloured flowers from the end of May to the end of June. Its winter-green foliage is dark green. This upright, stocky growing shrub usually reaches a height of 0.5 - 1.5 metres and a width of 0.5 to 1.5 metres. A semi-shady (to shady) location and well-drained, nutrient-rich, acidic soil create optimum conditions for healthy growth. The Kirishima azalea 'Geisha Orange' is well tolerant of frost.
