Description
The Kirishima azalea 'Kermesina Rose' (Rhododendron obtusum) produces a veritable sea of pink-white flowers from late May to early June. Its winter-green foliage is medium green. This compact-growing shrub usually reaches a height of 50 - 60 cm and a width of 80 to 90 cm. A semi-shady (to shady) location and well-drained, nutrient-rich, acidic soil create ideal conditions for healthy growth. The Kirishima azalea 'Kermesina Rose' is well tolerant of frost.
