Description
The Dwarf purple rhododendron 'Violetta' (Rhododendron impeditum) produces a veritable sea of purple flowers from the beginning of May to the end of May. Its evergreen foliage is dark green. This upright, bushy, broad, dense-growing shrub usually reaches a height of 60 - 80 cm and a width of 0.9 to 1.3 metres. A semi-shady (to shady) location and a humus-rich, lime-free soil create optimum conditions for healthy growth. The Dwarf purple rhododendron 'Violetta' is well tolerant of frost.
