Description
The Yellow azalea 'Hotspur Red' (Rhododendron luteum) produces a veritable sea of bright red flowers from the end of May to mid-June. Its deciduous foliage is dark green. This bushy, broad, branching shrub usually grows to a height of 2 - 2.5 metres and a width of 2.5 to 3 metres. A semi-shady (to shady) location and humus-rich, lime-free soil create optimum conditions for healthy growth. The Yellow azalea 'Hotspur Red' is well tolerant of frost.
