Description
The Japanese azalea (Rhododendron mollis x sinensis) produces a veritable sea of flowers in yellow, orange or white in May. Its deciduous foliage is medium green. This upright-growing shrub usually reaches a height of 1 - 1.5 m and a width of 1 to 1.2 m. A semi-shady (to shady) location and humus-rich, lime-free soil create optimal conditions for healthy growth. The Japanese azalea is well tolerant of frost.
