The Rhododendron 'Erato'(s) (Rhododendron) produces a veritable sea of dark red flowers with dark red markings from the end of May to mid-June. Its evergreen foliage is dark green. This bushy, broad-growing shrub usually reaches a height of 2 - 2.5 metres and a width of 2 to 2.5 metres. A semi-shady (to shady) location and humus-rich, lime-free soil create ideal conditions for healthy growth. The Rhododendron 'Erato'(s) is well tolerant of frost.
