Description
The Thick-flowered rhododendron 'Silbervelours' (Rhododendron pachysanthum) produces a veritable sea of light pink flowers from mid-April to early May. Its evergreen foliage is dark green. Even the white new shoot is an eye-catcher. This upright, compact-growing shrub usually reaches a height of 60 - 70 cm and a width of 1 to 1.1 metres. A semi-shady (to shady) location and humus-rich, lime-free soil create ideal conditions for healthy growth. The Thick-flowered rhododendron 'Silbervelours' is well tolerant of frost.
