The Thick-flowered rhododendron 'Silbervelours' (Rhododendron pachysanthum) produces a veritable sea of light pink flowers from mid-April to early May. Its evergreen foliage is dark green. Even the white new shoot is an eye-catcher. This upright, compact-growing shrub usually reaches a height of 60 - 70 cm and a width of 1 to 1.1 metres.
