Description
The Rhododendron 'P.J. Mezitt' (Rhododendron carolinianum) produces a veritable sea of magenta-coloured flowers from early March to early April. Its evergreen foliage is dark green. This upright, broad, compact growing shrub usually reaches a height of 1 - 1.5 metres and a width of 1.2 to 2 metres. A semi-shady (to shady) location and humus-rich, lime-free soil create optimum conditions for healthy growth. The Rhododendron 'P.J. Mezitt' is well tolerant of frost.
