Description
The Rhododendron 'Praecox' (rhododendron) produces a veritable sea of purple-coloured flowers from mid-March to mid-April. Its evergreen foliage is dark green. This upright, loosely growing shrub usually reaches a height of 0.8 - 1 m and a width of 1 to 1.2 m. A semi-shady (to shady) location and a well-drained, lime-free, loose, acidic, slightly acidic soil create optimum conditions for healthy growth. The Rhododendron 'Praecox' is well tolerant of frost.
