Description
The Swamp azalea (Rhododendron viscosum) produces a veritable sea of white-pink flowers in July. Its deciduous foliage is medium green. This upright, bushy, broad, dense, compact growing shrub usually reaches a height of 1.4 - 1.6 metres and a width of 1.2 to 1.4 metres. A semi-shady (to shady) location and humus-rich, lime-free soil create optimum conditions for healthy growth. The Swamp azalea is well tolerant of frost.
